Limescale deposits from hard water can cause many serious and expensive problems in commercial and industrial water systems such as reduced performance, increased energy consumption, increased operation costs, and equipment damage.
Watercare is one of the leading suppliers of commercial and industrial water softeners in Ireland. Not only can Watercare install your water softener but we can design and build a custom system that is customized to your requirements. With many years working with commercial and industrial clients, we have drawn on our experience and knowledge to offer a one-stop-shop for all of your water system needs.
Our water softeners come in a variety of sizes and configurations. The final choice of the model considers several factors such as water hardness, flow rate, daily water consumption, and pressure, and system design. Using the latest technology, our high-performance water softeners can meet the needs of diverse businesses, efficiently delivering flow rates from 1 to over 500 cubic metres an hour.
Simplex or single column water softeners are best suited to steady demand applications up to moderate capacities for the domestic and commercial markets. Regeneration is programmed to occur during low water usage periods.
Generally, simplex softeners will need to be sized to give at least one day’s supply of softened water output before regeneration. These types of softeners are very reliable and give many years of good service with minimal maintenance. They are therefore extremely cost-effective.
Duplex softeners function similar to simplex units, except that they consist of two resin columns where one is in service and the second is in standby. The flow of water to service is metered and when the first column reaches exhaustion, the control valve automatically switches the service flow to the second column and then regenerates the first column.
A duplex softener is capable of giving a continuous 24 hour supply of softened water. Duplex softeners are therefore ideal for sites with large variations in water demand and for applications where a continuous and uninterrupted supply of soft water is essential.
